Executive Team

Suren Rana, Chief Executive Officer

Suren Rana has been Chief Executive Officer of BrightSphere Investment Group Inc. since April 15, 2020. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Rana was Chief Financial Officer of BrightSphere Investment Group Inc. since January 20, 2019. Mr. Rana has been involved in the financial services sector for more than fifteen years. Mr. Rana was a member of Brightsphere's board from November 2017 to August 2018. He served as the Chief Investment Officer at HNA Capital International from September 2016 to August 2018. Previously he served as an investment banker at UBS, Royal Bank of Canada and Merrill Lynch where he advised clients on M&A, IPOs, financings and other strategic matters. He also served as a Principal at Equifin Capital Partners from September 2008 to September 2011 where he led control investments in the financial services sector. Mr. Rana began his career at GE Capital with responsibilities in credit risk management and audit. Mr. Rana holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Delhi.

Tracy Aber, Head of Human Resources

Tracy Aber is responsible for formulating and executing the strategy for the acquisition, development and retention of our talent. She has extensive expertise in compensation, equity and benefit plan design and administration. She also oversees all aspects of our talent management function, including compensation, benefits and payroll. Prior to joining BrightSphere in 1994, Ms. Aber was at the accounting firm Arthur Anderson, LLC. She holds a B.A. in Accounting from Boston College and is a Certified Compensation Professional.

Robert Campbell, Head of Information Technology

Robert Campbell oversees BrightSphere's Information Technology department, and is responsible for the firm's IT operations, strategy, security, risk, and governance. He joined the Company in 2012 and has held multiple roles, serving as the head of both the IT Operations and IT Architecture functions. Mr. Campbell brings over 20 years of experience in IT across multiple industries, and has expertise in variety of technology domains. He holds a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and maintains industry certifications including the CISSP.

Richard Hart, Chief Legal Officer

Richard Hart oversees all legal matters for BrightSphere, including public company matters, capital markets, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, private funds and commercial transactions. Prior to joining BrightSphere, he was an associate with the law firm Goodwin Procter, where he was a member of the Private Funds and Hedge Funds groups. Mr. Hart holds a B.A. from the University of Richmond and a J.D. from Boston University, where he was a Judge Tauro Scholar and a Senior Editor of the Boston University Law Review. He is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Christina Wiater, Principal Financial Officer and Principal Accounting Officer

Ms. Wiater has been the Company’s Principal Financial Officer and Principal Accounting Officer since 2020. She has been the Company's Controller since 2018 and was the Company's Assistant Controller from 2013 to 2018, where she was responsible for all accounting and control processes. Prior to joining the Company, Ms. Wiater was previously a Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in their audit practice where she focused on private equity and asset management companies. Ms. Wiater received a B.S. in Business Administration and a M.S. in Accounting from Babson College. She is also a certified public accountant.
